Dynamic Prototyping with SketchFlow in Expression Blend is a book coming out in late 2009 (Actually now Q1 2010) through Pearson and Que Publishing and is being written by Chris Bernard and Sara Summers. It will teach you everything you need to know to create rich and dynamic prototypes using SketchFlow in Expression Blend.

Here you can get updates about the progress we're making on the book and download a preview chapter and the associated projects that go along with it.

The preview chapter will teach you all the basics you need to know to begin using SketchFlow features in Expression Blend right away.

There are four files to download. We recommend you download all of them and place them in your Documents/Expression/Blend3/Projects directory.

Book Updates

Like many things that are worth doing books sometimes take longer than one would anticipate. As neophyte authors Sara and I are both experiencing this. We did however, want to share a few updates for you that are eagerly awaiting this book.

First, our book is officially in production. This means that all the content has been written and gone through multiple technical and editorial reviews. Chapters and concepts have been reviewed by our editing team and Pearson, our publisher, and also our talented technical editor for the book, Branden Hall. Our detailed resource guide has been completed by contributor Fred Gerantabee. In addition, we’ve refined our content with dozens of workshops and hundreds of designers over the past few months.

Despite this milestone we don’t have an official release date locked yet as there is still a review the must be done after the production process to make sure everything is where it needs to be, typically based on where we are with this type of process it’s safe to assume that our book should be available at some point in March 2010. We’ll keep you updated on this blog and we thank all of our subscribers and those that have reached out to us to us for your extraordinary patience and support.
